U.S. Department of Education Resources
The U.S. Department of Education
web site is a good place to start. In addition to funding information,
it provides a link to other educational resources and the Gateway to Educational
Materials (GEM), which searches websites for educational resources.
Links to the Office of Educational Technology and Federal Resources for
Educational Excellence also contain valuable information.
NASA Resources
The National Aeronautics and
Space Administration also provides excellent resources. Its NASA
Quest site provides information on “The Internet in the Classroom” and
“Grants and Other (People’s) Money”.
National Science
Foundation Resources
The National Science Foundation
represents another source of funds, as well as a site for other resources.
The National
Science Teachers Association provides a variety of information on grants
and competitions. Of particular interest are the
Toyota Tapestry Grants.
The Utah
Education Network has a source page for educational grants, although
some of the links are no longer active.
Other sites worth visiting include:
If you drop an email to info@classroom.com
and include “send grants” in the body of the email, Classroom Connect will
send you a very comprehensive list of “Grants for School Telecommunications”.
