Dear Mrs. McKay,
Berkeley is a Pre-K-12 independent school with a total population of over 1200 students. The school is located in the Town and Country area of Tampa, Florida. This is our second year of participation in the boiling point project and we are looking forward to getting started. This year, we are using, for the first time, the Pasco temperature sensor on our laptop computers and hope to get the most accurate data possible. We expect that our boiling point will be at or near 100 degrees, since we live at an elevation just a few meters above sea level.
Six classes, all taking 8th grade physical science, will participate in this project and will submit data separately. We will use this separation of data to get immediate feedback on the independent variable of water volume, which will vary by period. As far as heating device, room temperature and elevation go, we will have to wait until the data is in at the end of the month.
Thanks for the opportunity to participate.

Hello and welcome to the project! I'm glad that your school is participating again this year. Thanks for sharing your predictions and your plan for conducting the experiment. I'll be curious to see the results you obtain with the Pasco sensors!
