Hello schools around the world. We are from Murrysville, Pennsylvania, United States of America.

Our school is called the Franklin Regional Middle School. It is part of the Franklin Regional School District. Our school is in the city of Murrysville. It is located approximately at 40.4616 degrees North latitude and 79.6658 degrees West longitude. Murrysville is a suburb of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is the second largest city in our state. Our school has students coming mainly from three cities: Murrysville, Export, and Delmont. We also have a few students from Jeannette, Monroeville, and New Kensington.

Our school starts has approximately 954 students ranging from grades six to grade eight. I am now in eighth grade and am learning about Physical Science. Our science teacher's name is Mr. Steinly. He is one of the three eighth grade science teachers at our school. Our school gives us many opportunities with extra curricular activities. Some of these are football, basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, swimming, cross-country, track, wrestling, stage crew, Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, Show Choir, Vocal Ensemble, and a newspaper staff. We also have a student council and an advanced program called SAL.

In eighth grade, we take Physical Science, English, American History, and Math. In our grade students take one of four different math classes: Pre-Algebra Part 2, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 1. We also take one of three World Languages: Spanish, French, or German. We also have a choice of taking Band, Chorus, Performing Arts, Technology Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Visual Arts, Keyboarding, Keyboarding Applications, Multimedia, and a course of Microsoft Applications. You are also required to take Physical Education and Health.

Good luck to all schools around the world who are participating in the International Boiling Point Project.

Thanks for writing such a great letter of introduction. I actually know exactly where Murrysville is located. I lived in the Pittsburgh area for quite a few years. I went to Carnegie-Mellon and also lived in Robinson Township (by the airport) for a while. I still have a few friends that live in Murrysville. Enjoy the project!
