Hi Everyone,
We are 8th graders from Readington Middle School in Readington New Jersey. Our school has approximately 675 students from grades 6-8. This is our first year participating in the International Boiling Point project.
Our school is located in Readington, New Jersey, a small rural town in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Hunterdon County is located in west-central New Jersey. We have lots of trees and too many deer. There are many farms, though not as many as there used to be. One of these farms actually raises buffalo. Our exact location is 74.738 degrees West and 40.569 degrees North. Our elevation is 260 ft. (79.25 meters). In our area you can also find many pharmaceutical industries, including Merck's world headquarters and a large Johnson and Johnson building.
Our school offers many different opportunities for extra curricular activities. We have, of course, the usual sports, such as basketball, track, field hockey, baseball, lacrosse, and volleyball, a wonderful music program with a band, orchestra, jazz band, and a junior and senior chorus. Every year our school drama department puts on its musical. This year's being "The Music Man". There's a Leader's Club which teaches its participants how to be active members of society, T.A.T.U, or Teens Against Tobacco Use club, and our student government. To learn more about our school and our procedures for the experiment, visit our website at www.readington.k12.nj.us
We look forward to hearing from you soon and for the duration of the project.

Welcome to the project! I enjoyed reading your letter. Believe it or not, here in northern NJ there are also too many deer! Your school sounds terrific. Enjoy the project!
