Hello from Randallstown, Maryland. This is Deer Park Middle Magnet School in Baltimore County. We are located on the East coast of the U.S.A. Our absolute location is 39° 22 minutes N latitude and 76° 48 minutes W longitude. The reason our school is called Deer Park is because there are lots of forests and many deer live around here. We are located in the suburbs of Baltimore City. In our school there are magnets programs: Computer Applications in Math and Science (CAMS), Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Foreign Language, and Mass Communications. Performing Arts includes, chorus, band, and drama. We have a rather large amount of students (1300) but that’s okay because we have a lot of teachers to teach us. Our school is neat, clean, and drug free. Our hypothesis is: “We think that elevation is the factor that effect’effects the boiling point of water. Since the density of air is lesser the higher up you go and heat travels faster in thin (less dense) air, then heat would travel faster in higher elevations. In addition, the higher you go the less air pressure there would be pushing down or compressing the water molecules.” We hope you have been enjoying participating in this project as much as we have. If you’re in the neighborhood, don’t forget to stop by we’ll fix you a glass of boiling water!

Hello and welcome to the project! There are also way too many deer here in Northern New Jersey which is surprising considering how urban much of it is. Thanks for writing such a great letter of introduction and sharing your hypothesis. Enjoy the project!
