Hola from Coopeunioro,
While
in Coopeunioro
I visited the school and met the teacher and students (To the right, click the image
to see it enlarged). There are only 3 children in the
school! Each of them wrote a note on paper for you to
read. They do not have computers and they don't have
access to the Internet. They don't even have telephones -
not even in their homes. It is a very different way of
life. I will type them out so you can read what they have
to say. Please excuse the mistakes that I may make.
(Select the links below to read their letters. You can use
these online translators to
translate the letter)
The
children (To the right, click the image
to see it enlarged) cannot
receive e-mail
from you but one of the men in the community
has e-mail
in a town that he occasionally visits. If you would like
to
e-mail the students in Coopeunioro
send a message to Ricardo at CERRODEORO@yahoo.com.
Ask him to print your message and take it to the teacher, Marcela
Baltodano. You could also send a letter in the mail to:
Marcela
Baltodano
c/o Ricardo Aruya Piedra
Oficina de Correos de Puerto Jimenez
Golfito, Costa Rica
It
would be very exciting for them to hear from you. But
remember, they only speak Spanish.
- Mrs. Kapley
