What's the Weather Like in Your City?
- Pick a City in the United States. Use this weather station code
list to find the weather station code for your city.
- Use this
radar image site to access radar pictures for your city. Save the
images to your disk. Do this for a period of several hours or over a
period of days.
- Go to the Texas A+M Site from the buttons below to access text based
weather data on your city's weather station. Print out your data for the
last 24 hours for your weather station.
- Graph the relative humidity and air pressure information for a 24 hour
period. Then answer the following questions.
- What has the temperature done over the last twelve hours?
- What has the pressure done over the last twelve hours?
- What has the wind speed done over the past twelve hours?
- Using the images and the answers to the questions above, can you
predict what will happen to your city's temperature, air pressure and wind
speed in the next twelve hours?
- Has you city had any precipitation? Looking at the radar images, does
it look like your city will have any precipitation in the next few hours?
