Pick a City in the United States. Use this weather station code list to find the weather station code for your city.
Use this radar image site to access radar pictures for your city. Save the images to your disk. Do this for a period of several hours or over a period of days.
Go to the Texas A+M Site from the buttons below to access text based weather data on your city's weather station. Print out your data for the last 24 hours for your weather station.
Graph the relative humidity and air pressure information for a 24 hour period. Then answer the following questions.
- What has the temperature done over the last twelve hours?
- What has the pressure done over the last twelve hours?
- What has the wind speed done over the past twelve hours?
- Using the images and the answers to the questions above, can you predict what will happen to your city's temperature, air pressure and wind speed in the next twelve hours?
- Has you city had any precipitation? Looking at the radar images, does it look like your city will have any precipitation in the next few hours?
