Final Report - June, 2004

Hello Everyone!

We analyzed the data and made some conclusions. First we had to convert the celcius temps into English equivalents. Then we realized that those countries in the southern hemisphere, farther away from the equator, are experiencing cooler temperatures than we are because they are soon heading into winter. We get more direct sunlight at this time of year, thus our temps are warmer and the amount of sunlight is more. The one big exception that we found were the countries near the equator, which experience warmer temperatures all year round. (And Canada, which is getting more sunlight but is too close to the north pole to warm up very much.) Thanks for a great project! Mr. Jones' 5th graders.
