Programs
 CIESE
is playing a critical role in assisting faculty at institutions
of higher education, particularly colleges of teacher
education and community colleges, to incorporate student-centered,
technology-based resources and approaches into their
coursework. Two current programs, the U.S. Department
of Education-sponsored Pathways project and the National Science Foundation-sponsored
Enhancing the Capacity of Math and Science Teachers,
are developing faculty development programs and instructional
materials to improve teaching and learning in science,
mathematics, language arts, and educational technology
coursework.
