Experience
first hand how effective use of technology promotes an
inquiry-based learning environment leading to increased
student participation and achievement in the K-12 classroom.
With over 15 years experience
utilizing technology in the classroom, and having worked
with over 10,000 teachers throughout the world, CIESE is
delighted to offer this FREE workshop to demonstrate how technology
can be used in your schools to achieve improved student performance
and participation.
These half-day sessions
will focus on the integration of technology into the K-12
mathematics and science classroom. Participants will discover
research – based professional development programs that:

meet the No Child Left
Behind Highly Qualified Teacher requirements
-
address both New Jersey and National standards with
a focus on core science and mathematics concepts
- assist K-12 teachers
in integrating and implementing technology resources into their
science and mathematics classroom
- improve
teacher content knowledge and instruction
- increase student
participation and achievement in science, math, and reading
The sessions
will also discuss professional development programs that:
- provide
customized, grade-appropriate workshops for
elementary,
middle, or high
school
teachers
- are
conducted
either
in-district
for
up
to
20
teachers
or
for
individual
participants
on
the
Stevens
campus
in
Hoboken,
NJ
-
offer
graduate credit and hours towards the NJ “100 hour” professional
development requirement

Savvy Cyber Teacher®
Professional Development Program
Savvy Cyber
Teacher® is a thirty-hour teacher professional development
program aimed at helping teachers utilize 'unique
and compelling' Internet-based resources to improve
student learning in science, mathematics and other
disciplines.
Courses are targeted to elementary, middle and secondary grades.

Technology In Mathematics
Education Program (TIME)
The TIME program is a
forty two-hour professional development program designed to
integrate technology into the Mathematics curriculum
in grades 5-8. Participants learn first-hand how to use a variety of software
tools
that engage students in problem- solving activities.
