Goals
- Create a technology
based math project that you will be able to share with other teachers
in your building as well as via the web with other schools especially
our new Matrix partner school – Westminster.
- Prepare a web-based,
Powerpoint presentation of your project to your colleagues and teachers
at Westminster Academy. Details to be announced. Projected date: May,
2007
Use of Smartboard
You should sign up to use the
Smartboard in the library or in your classroom. There will be a sign up
sheet in the library. If you also want to use laptops at that time,
coordinate that with your tech coordinators Carmine and Chanise.

Logs and Getting Paid
As a participant of the project
you are required to keep a log of your Matrix activities and prep time.
You will be paid for work done only during non-school hours. When you
do it is up to you. Your first log will be due before the end of
November. Board approval for your participation will happen at the
11/16/06 board meeting. You can expect to be paid sometime after that
date. Please confirm all your log entries with Ihor. He must receive
your log electronically (i.e. by email) before it can be submitted for
payment.
Monthly attendance at meetings &
Workshops
Every participant in the Matrix
project is required to attend at least one meeting/workshop a month. To
help make it easier for you to schedule your meetings two such meetings
will be scheduled each month. You will be required to attend one of
them. The content of the meetings will vary based on your needs.
I will be visiting with you regularly to help me set the agenda for the
meetings. The next meeting/workshop will be on ___________________.
