Assessment

The accompanying worksheet guides student work through the RWLO and provides a place to organize their observations and conclusions. Depending upon a specific instructor's grading system, points should be assigned for each of the 11 answered items. Following a 5 point per item model, the following rubric should help in this assessment.

5 points = A complete and accurate response; observations are accurate as are conclusions drawn from them.

4 points = Response is accurate but not entirely complete; observations are partial and/or conclusions drawn are mildly flawed.

3 points = Response is not entirely complete and has some accuracy flaws; observations are partial and conclusions drawn are flawed or illogical.

1-2 points = Minimal effort and work with limited completion and accuracy.

0 points = Incomplete response with major flaws in both observations and conclusions drawn.
