After reading the Overview, students should proceed through the Content Materials in the following order:
- Relative Velocity
- Vectors: vector.doc
- Real World Data
You may then want students to complete the Assessment.
Rather than make this too cookbook-like by providing worksheets to fill out, I recommend that students collect data in their lab notebooks. They should follow the procedures, making requisite assumptions as they go. You may want to have student write up a more formal lab report if that fits your curriculum.
This activity will likely take a complete college lab period (150 minutes). It may take more or less depending on student preparation and on whether instructors require the assessment activities and/or a formal lab report
