Many of us take our access to and skills with technology and the information that it manages for granted. It's often hard to imagine that there are many in the world who do not enjoy these privileges.
In this activity, students will use dynamic real world data to explore the global digital divide. They will use a spreadsheet to organize some of that data, build formulas to expand that data, and then chart it to better understand its implications.
Students will then use their spreadsheet data and its graphical representation to summarize their observations and articulate questions for further study.
