  • Student Directions:

    • Use the AutoFormat option and select an appropriate table format for cells A1:D9. Format the cells in the Number format with 2 decimal places. 

    • Format the spreadsheet in 16-point Arial black font and centered over columns A through D.  Insert the Census data.

  •  
    • To create your chart, click on the Chart Wizard found in the toolbar.  Select the appropriate chart and follow the steps provided by the wizard.  Donít forget to name your chart, and label your x and y axis. 

    • Place your chart as an object in your sheet.

    • Save your work using an appropriate file name. 

     

    • Now reflect on:

    • How your county's ethnicity compare to the numbers of the US and your state? Were you surprised by the results?

    • Compare your results with the memories of what schools looked like when you were a student. If the schools of today are significantly different from the ones you remember, what will you need to do to prepare yourself for the diversity you are likely to encounter in the classroom?
