This RWLO is designed to be used in a non-majors environmental science or ecology course, but could also be used in a course for biology or environmental science majors. 

Upon completion of this RWLO the following list of competencies will be met:

  • Identify causes, explain effects and propose solutions regarding human impact on the environment in order to make informed environmental decisions in daily life.

  • Explain the effects of human activities on selected aquatic and/or terrestrial biomes.

  • Recognize local, regional and global environmental concerns.

  • Identify current approaches to conservation and sustainability of our earth and its natural resources.
