Funding Opportunities for Teachers and Technology

This page is designed to serve as a source for information about funds that are available for individual teacher projects involving technology, as well as background information about larger funding opportunities available to school districts.  Tips for preparing proposals for grants are also included.


U.S. Department of Education Resources

The U.S. Department of Education web site is a good place to start.  In addition to funding information, it provides a link to other educational resources and the Gateway to Educational Materials (GEM), which searches websites for educational resources.  Links to the Office of Educational Technology and Federal Resources for Educational Excellence also contain valuable information.

NASA Resources

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration also provides excellent resources.  Its NASA Quest site provides information on “The Internet in the Classroom” and “Grants and Other (People’s) Money”.

National Science Foundation Resources

The National Science Foundation represents another source of funds, as well as a site for other resources.


National Science Teachers Association

The  National Science Teachers Association provides a variety of information on grants and competitions.
