What I do
I am the Mathematics projects manager for the Center for Innovation in Engineering & Science Education (better known as CIESE), at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. This is my 17th year. Time sure flies when you’re having fun!

Some of my projects
I’m currently working on some math & science Internet projects as part of my work at CIESE.

Some other things I do
I founded and am the president of CLIME (Council for Technology in Mathematics Education) – an NCTM affilliate group. Visit the CLIME website where I have lots to say (in written form). I’ve served on several NCTM technology committees and have served on the technology committee for the New Jersey Mathematics Teachers Association (AMTNJ).

  • An interest of mine: Meteorology – I like to track storms and see what makes them tick.
  • The last great movie I saw: Hamlet – I get completely mesmerized by Kenneth Branaugh’s acting.
  • My favorite movie: Mr. Holland’s Opus with Richard Dreyfus portraying the life of a dedicated music teacher.
  • Last good book I read: Euclid’s Window: The Story of Geometry from Parallel Lines to Hyperspace
  • People I live with: My wife Joan and our four cats: Smokey, Bandit, Maxine, and Pitty-Pat
